Radiohead – Pyramid Song Lyrics | 19 years ago |
To me, this is about suicide. He "jumps in the river" and sees wonderful things (such as angels, "moon full of stars"), he sees all the things he used to see, including his lovers, his past and futures; then "them all" (or "his entire self", as I like to think) go to heaven. The most important verse, "there was nothing to fear and nothing to doubt" - this means he got over the fears and doubts of life which basically made him "jump in the river". Amazing song. |

The Sexiest song ever written. |
Portishead – Numb Lyrics | 19 years ago |
"And this loneliness It just won't leave me alone" This is for sure one of the greatest verses ever written. I personally don´t see it only as a person who is single wanting somebody to love, I think it´s about someone who, even surrounded by crowds everyday, feels completely alone. By the way, Beth Gibbons rules. |
