| Well im not really sure exactly what this song is about but in the past few days ive been able to associate with it - i seem to be losing my mind slightly due to drugs and i know ozzy has probably felt in a similar way to myself. ive been high for the past 2 or 3 months now - smoking weed every day aswell as taking alot of coke, speed, shrooms and E. I nearly OD'd on MDMA the other night and well since ive been worried about drugs and am trying to stop taking anything for a while - i keep finding myself writing really weird and scary things on pieces of paper and im always paranoid and worried about things - i sometimes dont even know where i am anymore. Diary of a Madman? haha it makes me think of ozzys newest song....(sort of new then lol)..All my life ive been over the top, i dont know what im doing, all i know is i dont wanna stop!! (but i think im going to try to!!!) | |

Ok right..im really not sure what the song means, hence y i check this page out too see if anyone else does this is what ive got from the first verse though,... they call me the leather apron, they called me smiling/violent? jack... This verse appears to be reffering to Jack The Ripper, who was also reffered to by many at the time as The Leather Apron befor The Murderer gave himself the name of 'Jack the Ripper' this is what i know for certain, basing my ideas on this i will continue to lookm at other sections of the song...: Chills of fear like a sawblade cutting deep Well make yyour own conclusion here... "On this unholy night I will make you my own" Jack the Ripper murdered prostitutes at night,hed pay them and then brutally murder them... "The way I sign my name" Jack the ripper signed his name in blood, he would write letters to the detectives responsible for his capture. he also wrote a a note on a wall one night. "The neighborhood´s pretty dead at night And I´m the one to blame" Londons east end tended to become silent and dead at night. people were too afraid to go out and prositutes too afraid to work the streets! Oh and about the refernce that some of you have made to hell...Jackthe ripper sent a parcel to the chairman of the Mile End Vigilance Committee, the organisation offering a reward for the rippers capture, containing half a human kidney.
