i feel its essentially about when everything just gets a bit messy 'wild' in your life and you just need to escape it, with the aid of your mates and a few drinks/substances for some carefree good times. the idea of going on some kind of trip gives it a travelly feel, and i listened to it loads when i travelled up the east coast of oz with my best mate, wicked times. the idea of a temporary escape is also shown through 'and you know when were coming down were only getting back and you know i feel no sorrow', ie the comedown is just a return to normal business. |

necrox, i was sure it was about the novel 'bnw' and you have confirmed this for me. cheers. i actually got the lyrics and read them in my english class as a poem, and passed it off as my own. a bit off-key yes, but most of my ENGLish class won't appreciate maiden, probably not even know who they are! i know.... the poor souls, however i see my plagiarism as more of a credit to the potency and genius of Bruce's lyrics, as well of course as the ultimate metal band's infinite music. up the irons!!!! p.s. bare mashed |

you guys are idiots. this is a don tune. People diss Blaze's Maiden era, but its just not justfied. How can you say that this song is weak. Blaze's lyrics are so true. I would also like to recommend Iron Maden - Don't look to the eyes of a stranger - Virtual XI, and anything from X Factor, and just about all Maiden! p.s. bare whaacked |

this song is about living a kind of lifestyle, one that many students can relate to! living for your next night on the piss, or next joint. the song is also about realisation of the negative perceptions that one can gain from this kind of lifestyle 'life's too short to be afraid'. |

its about society and how everything has gone 'mad'. Money controls everything, people are ruled by dates, everyone has their essentially 'pointless' routines, rushing around which are repeated day by day. the song goes that one can overcome this by finding a partner and slowing down. i guess the real message is similar to that of The Beatles - I'm only sleeping which goes:
Everybody seems to think I'm lazy,
I dont mind,
I think they're crazy,
Running everywhere at such a speed,
'til they find there's no need. |

what can i say? Robbie was on an off-key downer, all us drug users get them after significantly heavy usage. This song expresses his thoughts and feelings at the time and also some more longer-term deep emotional problems. i connected with this song when i had bad drug-induced business and it helped me out for bare. Williams u legend! |
