the way i see it dawn has a double standard in the song..it represents what it really is which is the beggining of the day and also his relationship with a girl, perhaps someone he was with befoer and is now starting out again or a new girlfriend...either way the realtionship seems kind of new..here is my interpretaion of the song..its kind of dumb and probably 100 per cent wrong but oh well...its my opinion not a fact Beautiful dawn Lights up the shore for me.
