I could be totally off-base here, but I always thought the song was kinda like Chicago's "Twenty-five or -six to Four": a song about trying to write a song ... which, if you think about it, doesn't contradict much of what any of y'all are saying, either ... And I agree: horn version was better. |

I agree with eeyore 1883 . . . love to hear that voice sing something she MEANS and deeply feels, instead of the pap she sings. But no, chriswatts, Jim Steinman is NOT Meatloaf. Marvin Lee Aday is Meatloaf. Steinman is just a very good songwriter who collaborated with Meatloaf on most of the Big M's biggest hits. |
