I adore this song and Say Anything in general. I really feel this one, because I'm applying it to my own situation just like everyone does every song. Personally, I have it bad for someone and am quickly feeling like I'll do most anything for them, and he's falling for me, but it's too slow for my taste and I don't know he's as into it as I am, and he's got it rough at home (we're teens) and has been hurt by someone, and I have no idea how to accurately convey all of what I feel to him. |

I got the same impression as the person above me. Anyone who's read an Anne Rice book or seen Queen of the Damned/Interview with the Vampire can relate to my feelings of this having some kind of vampyric feel to it. Rather Lestat-esque, to me. It may have some deeper, less storybook meaning, but I'm unaware of it. |

Wow...nobody's commented this in a long time. It's an amazing song. It's kind of...nostalgic...only in a bad way, to read the comments from right after Dave died. I adore this song, because it's so easy to take it and adapt it to what you need it to be for you. Myself, my boyfriend and I are totally infatuated and in love, but at separate schools and only get to see each other every couple of weeks, if I'm lucky. So I treasure the notes I do get, and next year we'll be at the same school, and just being able to pass them back and forth is a big deal... |

-sigh-. I'm voting for Nine Inch Nails, because of some of the points made. If my mind still works right, Trent was indeed only 24 and working as a janitor when this was recored on PHM...(my favorite NIN album) And it's a song I've grown up knowing, being young and hearing it on rock radio. It didn't even have to grow on me, it's just as if I always knew it...I can remember hearing it on the car on the way to third grade. The AFI version had to grow on me, and I'm not totally fond of how Davey sounds in it. This is coming from someone who likes AFI better, generally. It's Trents song, not Daveys. I guess that's it. |

This song makes me sad. It's about Shaun Morgan, lead singer from Seether that she was dating. He's in rehab right now and I think she put it out early so he could hear it. Poor guy...his bands guitarist leaves, Amys gone... they looked so cute together on the Anywhere But Home DVD and the Broken video. People talked so much crap about Broken, no wonder he's in rehab. "EVANESCENCE AND SOME GUY". Not Seether and Amy Lee. :/ |
