this song is the prettiest tune ever. the lyrics are so mccartney. how can you not love it. theres no way.
i think id believe it if you told me it was about Jane Asher. but it could just be paul's amazing music writing. |

first off, i admit, i am a total BS artist when it comes to Oasis - i own only ONE of their cds, and i think they are one of the best bands ever. but anyhow, i've listened to this song SO many times, and it occured to me - the line :
"shes got a brother, but we dont get on with one another"
is that a referance to how Noel and Liam didnt get along? i dunno, it may be just a thought -

| The Beatles – There's a Place Lyrics

Because this song was written and recorded when they were still real young, i always though of the lines "theres a place, where i can go, when i feel low...ect" to be LIVERPOOL - their hometown, where they grew up, met, and became the Beatles - where they wrote alot of their first songs - the "place" holding good memories |

each time i hear it, not played much unfortunatly, the lines - "Whatever happened to the life that we once knew/ Can we really live without each other/ Where did we lose the touch/ That seemed to mean so much/ It always made me feel so
Free as a bird" - i always think of the beatles saying that to eachother "where did we loose the touch that seemed to mean so much" - their freindship, and their love for eachother that seemed to fade when they broke up. |

huge beatles fan - haha and for some reason, this song gives me a creepy feeling - i think its all the minor chords - plus Johns thrilling voice. its a really neat concept though, how its not about love but about...a carnaval? haha! with the beatles...they always knew how to surprise you ! right! |

| Jet – Look What You've Done Lyrics

i love this song (though sadly overplayed by the radio) i agree with beatlesfan4evr in that the "look what youve done, youve made a fool of everyone" are lines from beatle's White Album song- Sexy Sadie. Also, this song is definate reminders of the Oasis following - the voice and the heavy lyrics, (beatles, oasis - it fits) and with butterflykiss84 - about Lennons intro to Imagine. actually, if you ever play ONLY the intros to "IMAGINE" then "Look what You've done" and then Oasis' "Dont Look Back In Anger" all in a row (but only the intros!) youd be surprised to find they all sound identical!! haha and yea, im lovin the mop-tops! |
