Ryan's referring to the "Hollywood" nature of Southern California. In actuality, it doesnt' really reflect the nature of the entire state. Where I live, in a section of Los Angeles, it's really not that bad. |

This song reminds me of someone I cared for. I was still getting into Yellowcard and I asked her if she'd ever heard any of their music. She asked me later if I liked October Nights. I told her I had never heard of it and she explained how much she loved the song. |

And what the hell is up with these people trashing Yellowcard? If you don't care for their music, then don't listen. This place is about song meanings, not ranting about how much the band sucks. There are other places for that. Some people actually do like the band. It's music. Music is music. It's not the end of the world if more people started listening to Yellowcard. By all your accusations, you tend to put people down. And btw, posting here isn't going to change anyone's mind. This includes people that like and hate Yellowcard. |

It doesnt matter what the song means to me. But to the band, yeah, the song is about love, except not of a person. The "person" Ryan's talking about is not a person at all. He's referring to the good times he had when he was in Florida. "If I could find you now, things would get better." He's saying that if he can find those times again, everything would be better. Hanging out with friends, having a great time. |
