| Camera Obscura – You Told a Lie Lyrics

I might be wrong, but it sounds like she plays with the words of the last few lines:
What I heard was:
Are my eyes the coldest blue?
You said once that this was true
And if it is I don't know what I'll do
Cause I'm stuck with them
And you're stuck on you
Cause I'm stuck with them
And they're stuck on you
I'm stuck with them
And they're stuck on you
I'm stuck with him
And they're stuck on you
That's what I got at least.

Man whether it was with Bobby Lopez or Chelsea Logue, Estrela did deliver. I'm not giving up on the band, they'll be back maybe with a new singer. Then and only then will they kick all amounts of ass. |

Call me an idiot or call me lame if you will, but I was listening to this song while speeding down the highway a month or so ago, and much like in Perks of Being a Wallflower, I felt infinite. |

| Casiotone for the Painfully Alone – I Love Creedence Lyrics

I love how this and a majority of CFTPA songs for that matter sound so cutesy when you play them, yet when you finally go and decide to look for the lyrics the song seems so much more depressing. I don't know why, but this song won me over. It's like true romance, not Hollywood stuff where the guy and girl eventually hook up, this is genuine. He liked her but never really made an attempt to advance on their relationship. Because of that she fell in love with someone else. Had this been a movie I'm sure it would have ended with Creedence and Elodie eventually showing their true feelings, but because Ashworth is so much more true, Elodie becomes another page in the history book to Creedence.
I'm sure this song might have an entirely different meaning, because alot of his other songs are truthfully intelligent, and I'm sure the CFTPA diehard could probably enlighten me on the meaning of this song. However, I've been in a situation very similar to this some years ago, so this song strikes and entirely differenct chord for me. You have to love Casiotone for this song period. |

"All good things must come to an end
The bad ones just go on forever"
I love how that line is delivered so bluntly. |

This is possibly my favorite song off of Destroyer's Rubies. I say possibly because Watercolours Into the Ocean is another knock out song. |

Solid song from their latest release. I'll be honest this was the first song I've ever listened to from this band, I'm pretty impressed. I'll give the album a full listen tomorrow. |

| Glassjaw – When One Eight Becomes Two Zeros Lyrics

The sole reason why I enjoy this song. Everything You Ever Wanted to Know About Silence showed alot of anger that results from a failed relationship, this is the only song that differs from that. I remember the first girl I went out with that I absolutely adored and thought I loved very much, but when she told me she'd rather be friends, I just couldn't figure it out for the life of me. Of course I was mad, but I was still very confused and I always felt that this was the weakest song on the album, until I was in the same situation that When One Eight Becomes Two Zeros stressed. I mean everyone knows that bad relationships bring out the ugly in people, but finally there is a song that conveys the utter confusion you get when the person you really thought you'd be with forever just decides to call it off, and as much as I praise Worship and Tribute, Everything was truly the blueprint of failed love. The only other album that really brings out the darkside of love that Everything did has to be Reggie and the Full Effect's new album Songs Not to Get Married To, but I have a huge dislike for the band. |

I don't really like Glassjaw as much as I used to. Hell I rarely listen to them now, but the one reason why I always claimed this to be my favorite Glassjaw song was the fact that he seems so fucking angry at someone yet there's that one point of clarity or self re-assurance. I mean throughout the whole song he's fighting with these feelings, and you can tell he's pissed not only at this person but with himself, but then suddenly he tries to make himself feel better with the Too Fly and Shy lines, you can clearly tell that at this point he's calmed about the situation and is just trying to make himself feel better. Although I've disliked Daryl since the Head Automatica era, I still think of him as the best singer in the business when it comes to portraying his emotions. |

First off let me clear this all up for you. The reference to Atrayu isn't reference to the band Atreyu, in the movie the Never Ending Story, the flying dog things name was Atrayu, hence the name. Also, yes for all those who deny it, this song is about being hooked on Crystal Meth, although very poppy and catchy it is indeed about the highly lethal Crystal Meth. Why he would write a song about it? I don't know, maybe someone close to him was hooked. |
