me and my gf have been together for almost a year.
we live about 100 miles, ive got huge trust issues.
a week after we started dating i was away for the weekend at a festival, and 3 doors down happend to be one of the bands that were there.
when i heard this song i sat there and i just thought to my self.
and i realized that no matter how far apart we maybe, no matter how long in between visits.

i saw them at the end july and when they played this song live i called and we both listened to it and cried..

if you watch the video to this song you can figure out what its about.
it shows a young man with rocks climbing a mountain( the mountain being life).
he comes to what seems to be his father always yelling at him for something or doing something wrong and he falls down the mountain, yet he gets back up.
he falls all the way down to the bottom and theres girls laughing at him, yet there is one that doesnt laugh at him at all, this is reflecting that she can see what hes going thru.
yet he keeps climbing.
as he climbs theres a group of boys that are throwing rocks at him and taunting him, you can see on have a rock in his hand as he's about to throw it he drops it.
maybe just because the kid isnt like me, whos to say im not haveing the same problems as he is.
next you see what appears to be his mother staring at him with open arms, yet the father appears to knock him down again. this says to me that maybe his father is abusive to his mother and his son.
last part you'll see the night go thru and the sun starts to rise.
the young man is climbing faster, he sees what appears to be his mother again, shes alone (she got a divorce shes had enough) the young man climbs to the top to be with his mother as he gets to the top and the sun rises all the way.
for me its saying no matter what happens in your life, theres going to be situations that you have to go thru in your life. no matter how many times you get made fun of, your not alone, keep fighting thru it and you'll see the next day. |
