| Masterplan – Crystal Night Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| the title is a reference to novemberpogrome/kristallnacht | |
| Copeland – You Have My Attention Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
this song seems a lot like it could be a sequel to 'california' from BMT. melodically it's got some similarities, and i think it's about his gf being away from him for a while (because of treatment for lupus, right?). "come back from california all of us here in florida are starved for your attention" and then: "Quiet now, your voice seems miles away Yet somehow, I hear your song resound A little bit softer each day And from my tired heart, a little bit farther away" |

| Fall Out Boy – Chicago Is So Two Years Ago Lyrics | 19 years ago |

it's Justin from Motion City Soundtrack and the line in question ^above^ is definitely "colours of the street signs" |
|
| Saosin – Come Close Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| the note on "i've been trying" is ridiculous | |
| Deftones – Xerces Lyrics | 19 years ago |

| Deftones – Mein Lyrics | 19 years ago |

| Armor for Sleep – The Way Out Is Broken Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
i think he's saying: "PREDICTABLE AND ALONE..." rather than "pray to fall in love" and, "...getting on the train THAT'S HEADING straight out of your life again" amazing song. i can't wait for the new record |

| Against Me! – Don't Lose Touch Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| the term "sold out" is wayyyy over used.. if i start making music and lots of people like it suddenly ive "sold out"... so are you guys saying that Against me! needs to try to make music people dont like? and you cant expect a band to keep recreating the same album over and over just to keep the few people who liked them from day 1 happy... bands grow/mature/change/get worse or better. music isnt defined as good or "sold out". music is personal. and if you think that theyve sold out cause they sign to a bigger record label you may as well go home and burn all your punk cd's cause the bands that created the genr'e ie: sex pistols and the clash were getting paid more money then most other bands of there time and they were on major record labels... so if that is selling out then punk isnt dead... it was never alive. | |
| Against Me! – You Look Like I Need a Drink Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| i think its a reflection on all the fucked up things hes done on drugs....like hooking up with a girl and getting on drugs... then her having an o.d. | |
| Between the Buried and Me – Alaska Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| reminds me of the movie Insomnia, and the way it would fuck you up being in darkness for nearly half the year and then in the light for the other half... also just how the brain works differently at night, how it feels different. good lyrics, imo | |
| Something For Kate – Strategy Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| about the difficulties of communication, and the facades people put on to avoid talking about how they really feel. | |
| Something For Kate – Anarchitect Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
i read once that this song is about development, and the way that cities quite literally grow upward not outward. i think it's about the modern ideal of 'progress' being made at almost any cost. |
|
| Speedstar – Crazy Happy Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
pretty straightforward, i think... about the way it feels when someone you love/d gets over you and moves on before you do. great song |
|
| Deftones – Hexagram Lyrics | 20 years ago |

| Foo Fighters – Ain't It the Life Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| i think it's about being rich and famous, the way many people would think he has the best life ever but he too has problems | |
| Far – Water And Solutions Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
seems like it's about people with no convictions or beliefs, he's telling them to 'stand up, turn and face me' and believe what they believe. also, some of the lines 'pleasure in the problems', 'fortunes from carnival seers, saw them through', and 'don't just stand there suffering...' make me think it's about hypochondriacs and how annoying they are. but i doubt it. AFRICA! |
