Audioslave – Like a Stone Lyrics 20 years ago
Love this song, first off its "Sky was bruised, wine was bled". not ground, that doesnt make any sense, and these lyrics are suppose to make sense. This song is about a preist/minister who loses faith in his particular beliefs (Roman Catholic Church), but in the end realizes that the only thing that matters is faith in something greater than any tangible idea of a higher being.

Audioslave – I Am the Highway Lyrics 20 years ago
"I am the Highway" if you haven't noticed is a very divine song spoken by God in the first person (we don't have many of those in pop culture anymore). it helps if you know alil about music notation too. The song is very simple, in the C/Am key with NO ACCIDENTALS (perfect), and follows an almost royal chord progression F-C-G-Am, and C-G-Dsus2-Am. You also have to keep in mind everyone's god isn't so cute and fluffy when looking at the lyrics, if you look at the rest of the album i'm sure you'll understand.

Jon Brion – Strings That Tie To You Lyrics 20 years ago
We've been force-fed bad music by pop-culture for a while, I'm glad when he makes a soundtrack, it is his way.
These tracks arent long because they dont have to be. It seems like we've forgotten that a good song doesnt have to be 4 min long, and a good score doesnt have to be 60 min either.

Jon Brion – Knock Yourself Out Lyrics 20 years ago
He produced on Elliot Smith's albums, along with a lot of others including Kanye West, haha.

I agree, rediculously talented but hasnt released a solo album since 2001.

Howie Day – Collide Lyrics 20 years ago
This song is about a physical relationship that develops into something more despite obvious differences. Lyrics aren't very good, modern pop culture has dumbed everything down. We're losing the English language to Britney Spears.

Keane – Somewhere Only We Know Lyrics 20 years ago
Basic environmental issues of the day. Kind of a remeniscent look at his childhood, and how much it has changed.

Oasis – Wonderwall Lyrics 20 years ago
Unfortunately, this song is atheistic. The song actually sounds more like a dialogue with yourself. This song explains how only one who can save you is yourself... 'maybe'.
