| Shawn Colvin – Sunny Came Home Lyrics | 17 years ago |

It's about the straw that broke the camel's back. At some point, enough is enough; you get sick and tired of being sick and tired. Sunny came home, she opened a box of tools (fixing thing aroung the house doesn't help, but she wants to fix things), the list of names, etc.) She's had enough, and she's ready to take a stand in her life (perhaps for once). Sometimes you don't even realize you aren't taking a stand until you realize you aren't. |

| He's trying to justify being right. Maybe to him, Maybe to himself. That's all. Being right comes with a price. Sometimes it angers people. But he's justifying it to someone, regardless of who it is. | |

I think the singer is writing this letter to his brother after he died. I may be completely off my rocker here, but after listening to this song, and reading the lyrics to it over and over for the past several months and trying to figure it out, I finally sat down, and decided to read it from a different angle. Maybe his wife cheated on him, and he killed himself? I don't know. Definitely an interesting song, from any interpretation. |
