Halifax – The Next Two Weeks Lyrics 20 years ago
Another song about a relationship ending badly. He's picking out all the flaws in her that made her a bad girlfriend or even a bad friend in general. Most of the lines are about how she was at fault and there's no way there can be reconciliation. "This is the price you can't afford... Put your wallet away", here he's telling her she could do nothing to make up for her faults. And "Those eyes will haunt me for the, Next two weeks I won't be myself", it's the natural reaction of getting over someone you once cared a lot about. For a while, the memories of her will alter his mood. But everything will get better.

Halifax – C.H.A.O.S. Lyrics 20 years ago
A relationship has just ended, and the guy wants only one night to spend with his ex. He knows it's a lot to ask, but it's the only request he has. He just wants that single chance to prove to her that they are meant for each other.

Halifax – Finished In A Day Lyrics 20 years ago
The guy is finally getting over a girl he loved for a long time. After six days, all he could think about her, but he's making progress. Everything's coming in a complete circle. He's starting back at start, meaning he's ready to love someone else again and go through the whole cycle of love again.

Halifax – Scarlet Letter Part 2 Lyrics 20 years ago
You can extract a lot from the title alone. The Scarlet Letter is given to someone who commits adultery. "Part 2" most likely means this is the second time the girl has cheated on him. At first I thought the song was about the girl, but now it seems like it's actually about the guy who she cheated on him with. "He thinks he's framed, so clueless as to the situation", I'm thinking the guy had no idea that the girl was seeing someone else (Mike). So when Mike is "tearing out his lungs", the other guy has no idea why this is happening. It's a song about Mike murdering this other guy out of anger and jealousy.

Another great concept for a song. Halifax is such a quality band.

Halifax – A Writer's Reference Lyrics 20 years ago
It's a story of how a girl chose another guy over Mike. And Mike knew all along what would happen. The other guy abuses her and now she finally sees that what Mike said came true. But by this time, Mike has already gotten over and now has a distaste for her. "Regret me, don't forget me. I want you to remember." He's basically telling her he was right since the beginning and now it's too late for her to be with him. Pouring salt into the wounds. Excellent song.

Allister – D^2 (D2) Lyrics 20 years ago
Great song, the guitars on this song are amazing.

The first four lines of the song is about him realizing that he still has feelings for a girl, but she's not interested in him. The rest of the song is remembering the past and finally moving on, while trying to find out more about yourself on the way.
