| Every Time I Die – Imitation Is the Sincerest Form of Battery Lyrics

I think the song is relating strictly to Christianity. The Apocrypha are a group of books that are not found in Christian bibles because they did not mesh with the teachings of the church at the time that they were discovered. It can also refer to "texts of uncertain authenticity," but when it's used as a proper noun, as it is here, it's likely referring to that of Christianity. |

I think the "These friends are, new friends are golden" could refer to the aphorism "nothing gold can stay" or that old saying about old friends being silver and new ones being gold and that they're not as good as his friends at home. |

I'm kind of tired of everyone saying that people scream because they can't sing. You really have to be able to hit some notes to scream at all. And there are tons of guys who having amazing voices and choose to scream (Phil Labonte from All That Remains; Mike Patton did a bit of screaming for Dillinger Escape Plan, etc.) |

Just so you know, I bought the CD as well. The leak was given to me by a friend who said I would like it better than the horrific "Chasing Safety." I did. By the way, the one I have is the more expensive, special edition version. I also convinced a few friends who hated the new UO to pick up the CD, how's that for support? |

Is Dan a Native American? This song seems to me that it's about how the first Americans stole land from the natives and all. The whole "trail of tears" thing really points to that. |

I think this is about how ironic it is that we try to and help other people with their problems while we still have glaring flaws in our own lives that we refuse to fix. |

I think instead of:
And how we messed up it again
It's:
And how we missed a beat again
Dunno. It makes sense both ways though, but anyways. |

And the "Come on down" could be referring to an aisle. Either way I'm very proud of these new songs. I'm gonna buy this when it comes out just to show support. These songs are so much better than They're Only Chasing Safety's tracks. |

Most of us would judging by poll ratings Ddadutta, but of course, they have been with God for eternity, why stay when your Lord is gone? |

| The Chariot – Yellow Dress: Locked Knees Lyrics

Translation (or, what I got at least):
Can you tell me if this world is changing?
This is the reality that you want me to live in?
Jesus, I want this world to know you
Delight yourself, favor yourself with this humble servant...
(rearranged a few words so it's easier to make sense of) |

Yeah, I'd have to disagree with DarkerShadeofWinter on it being about a father that's passed away. The "dead man" reference is to how his father is pretty much dead to him. |

This is an earlier recorded version of "Love Jealous One, Love." It's pretty good, but their voices have gotten more in harmony in the "Jealous One." The first verse is all that's changed lyrically. Pretty much the same meaning. |

The burning may very well mean burning with pain (ie. whipped, stabbed, etc.). And ENi must not be a big fan to not even know they started out on a Christian label.
Whatever kids, it really does sound like an allusion to Christ, maybe Joan of Arc though? Dunno. |

This CD was released when Underoath was still on Takehold Records, but their new labels (Solid State AND Tooth & Nail) are okay with songs about suicide, just look at "A Boy Brushed Red Living In Black and White." But Underoath really used to be solid death metal and not this "pop-core" mess they are now. |
