I just bought Bloodsport a week ago, and this is one of my favorite songs. M'aidez=french for "help me" (mayday). I think the song is about a rich/spoilt/falling girl--the "highbrow" French, strings of pearls, diamonds on her tongue, etc. give it away. She has a boy she strings along with "pleasure cuts and teasing," but who knows her better than anyone. He sees that "the girl had wings and precious things under sheets with tangled limbs," i.e., her excess and ?infidelity? and/or lust. The singer won't leave her, though, since he loves her ("ties me down with daisy chains")...even though she does not love him, since his simple, "open charms are lost on velvet." My two cents anyway. :) |

| The first time I heard this song, I thought of a yaoi (male x male) pairing--if anyone follows GW, Heero x Duo. Abuse, loss, and somewhere in there, love...*shrug* it just seems to match up that way for me. Utterly kickin' song. | |
