| I remember hearing that this was going to be a third single...and, if i'm not mistaken, they said "Fearless" was about being in New York after 9/11. But, um, how does this song have anything to do with 9/11? You'd think that by the title it would be some kind of ode to the survivors who were brave, but this song makes no sense and is pretty self-indulgent. In the NME article the singer says it's about the anxiety and depression he felt after the attacks. It just sounds like a bunch of phrases put together, to be honest. | |

To me, this is a very sexy, powerful song. My first thought about the lyrics was that it was about an underage groupie and his changing feelings towards her. "You got a reaction didn't you?" "how old are you anyway?" "get behind me now anyway". But maybe I just get this feeling because the sound is reminiscent of Zeppelin cock rock. |
