Nah. Prostitution. He doesn't like it at all, it hurts him quite badly. "Do I take a hit to the heart, should I let bleeding words weep?" The key to this interpretation is the lines: "When the red light's on, there's no one at home." Red light being a reference to the Red Light district. Google it for more info. Again, I feel as if this song is an ultimatum. Stop doing it, or there'll be no-one at home. (I'll go.) |

Okay, okay. Hold on. They are not offically a Christian band, because unlike Skillet, they do not go out and preach to people. They are like any other band, putting their emotions out through music. However, this emotion, often, involves their religion. Who knows? Maybe only the songwriter is Christian, and the rest just play it 'cause they can relate? That *may* be what he meant. Grace and peace, Professor Jimbles. |

Paul, you raise very good points. Espically "The strength of my life." That's a more biblical than romantic notion, I know. Looking over the lyrics (And listening to it, of course.) bring up the lines which dominate the song. "Feel you comin' on so fast, feel you comin' to get me high." Coming on so fast? If God is in your life, is he not *always* at your side? Just what I'm thinking, that's all. |

Woah, woah. Calm down. For once, I think this is about his saviour. Yes, me. I've heralded many battles 'gainst this easier answer to the question Songmeanings asks us EVERY SINGLE TIME WE POST. "What does this song mean to you?" It's true. This one smacks of organized religion. However, it's not the only definition that every single song made by a Christian band gets heaped on. Hey, they're human. Even through their faith, they CAN love a girl, and sing about her. Love, Professor Jimbles. |

Does... Does god have a heartbeat? Think more about teenage love, people. God, being such a personal experience, is interpreted in much the same way as love. In poetry and music, the two are PRACTICALLY interchangable. For this song, I raise the other side of the arguement. Singer loves someone. Ta-dah. My proof? Heartbeat. "Feel your every heartbeat." I can't say more without simply denying my earlier arguement about god being interchanged with a lover, so I won't. Please, question your own beliefs until they are truely yours, and not hereditary. |

Mmmm.. delicious! Even after I've gotten over JEW, I've still got this one on my MP3, and I love myself for it. :) It's really nice, and I think it's about a relationship at a job. Because... Well, look at the text, and it's obvious. We're not working with a hard song, we're looking at one that's NICE. |

I dunno about the man being dead. It sure as hell makse more sense than a few things in my head, but the way he's so adamant about " And I wanted you to be Everything to me And now I've got to learn to carry on And I know I cannot hide this emptiness inside Nothing is the same since you're gone " I think the Emptiness inside is pretty easy to work out, and you'd use different words to mean the same thing if you were dead. Sorry for not adding anything constructive... |

Jeeesus guys. Without seeing the vid clip... I look over your meanings, and see 1 thing that you're all forgetting. The entire song can be summed up with the first 2 paragraphs. rison gates won’t open up for me On these hands and knees I’m crawlin’ Oh, I reach for you Well I’m terrified of these four walls These iron bars can’t hold my soul in All I need is you Come please I’m callin’ And oh I scream for you Hurry I’m fallin’ Show me what it’s like To be the last one standing And teach me wrong from right And I’ll show you what I can be Say it for me Say it to me And I’ll leave this life behind me Say it if it’s worth saving me COME ON! When I listen to Nickelback songs (Think... Saturday night's alright?) Well, they are badasses. Pure and simple. PRISON gates won't open for me. He's done something wrong, looks like a bad guy, and wants salvation. He can't live without her, but that doesn't mean he's going to kill himself, it means he doesn't know right from wrong. |

I don't understand much... German? Is it? But, more importantly, it's linked to the Anime Hellsing, so I knew it had something to do with Divine spirit. |

This song isn't as known as it should be. I will analyze it now. This dude... he's lost her. And hell, he NEEDS her back. |

Damn, forgot to analyse it. This song... Is really shallow to analyse. The meaning is right out there in plain sight. He wasn't happy with his girl, and this is the end! |

No, no no! My friends, you have it wrong! ~I tried to help you once A kiss will only vise I saw you going down But you never realized That your drowning in the water So I offered you my hand Compassions in my nature Tonight is our last dance~ Now think people! He tried to help them once, and she got attached. IE: That your drowning in the water So I offered you my hand Compassions in my nature and tonight is our last dance? That's him saying it's over. Obviously the meaning is that the singer, or the person being portrayed has tried to help somebody, and she becamed attached. He needs to break off, and this is him doing it. The scars remind us that the past is real means that he will never forget this. |
