Although I'm a die hard skynyrd fan, this goes down as my favorite song of all time. I grew up in a small racist town and i relate to everypart of this song. In the town where I was raised Clock ticks and the cattle graze--------- I lived on a farm and my entire family raised Time passed with amazing grace---------cattle. it seemed like time passed forever Back where I come from. You can lie on a riverbank Paint your name on a water tank-------------laurel river. look @ my pics. you could get Miss count all the beers you drank---------away with shit like painting your name on a Back where I come from.-------------------water tank and drinkin way too much Back where I come from, Where I'll be when it is said and done,------------------------this says it all I'm proud as anyone that's where I come from. We learned in a sunday school Just who made the sun shine through----------Laurel United Methodist Church... almost I know who made the moon shine too---------every sunday Back where I come from Blue eyes on a saturday night Tan legs in the broad daylight--------------some of the prettiest girls you can imagine Tv's they were black and white-------------down there. Kenny chesney didn't originally sing this song tho. a man by the name of mack macenaly (idk how it's spelled) wrote and sang this song way before kenny chesney. i think kenny does it best tho. |
