floydfanatic18 that story will stay with me for the rest of my life. This is one of the only songs that has ever moved me. I think this so often about the world and myself. I can remedy myself but what can I do about the world? Except watch as the degradation of modern society wears away our moral fibers and ties to each other. |

| I don't think this pain is about self-mutilation. The lyrics are but it seems to me that alot of cutters listen to this song and connect with trent when they hear it. Maybe he wrote it because he cut in the past and he wants to give cutters something to reach out to. I dont agree that its about heroin, aside from the fact that heroin is just another way to hurt yourself | |

This song is brilliant. A true parody of philosophy. I just love listening to it. Also coz its an amazing song lol. I particularly like Velvetacidmike's interpretation though Anyways, in my mind, this is just summing up one of the ideals of buddhism. The first idea is what if im imagining all this or "cogito ergo sum" - I think therefore i am. The only undeniable truth in this universe is that I, myself, exist (Yes I'm alone, then again I always was) Then the idea expands. What if this existence is only imagined by someone else and who i am is just part of them? ( I'm becoming less defined as days go by Fading away, well you might say I'm losing focus) this is just. I dunno. its a pretty basic view anyway lol |
