This is beyond beautiful. I have never seen any of the Twilight films so any meaning regarding that is lost on me but this is the most incredible love song I have heard in so long. The chorus is so powerful... This song makes me feel warm and snuggly, I LOVE IT. I searched for ages to get the un-Jo Wiley version, if you look it up on YouTube, one of the videos has a link to an mp3 download of it with no commentary that I've just got. It is just BEAUTIFUL, if you've not heard it you must give it a listen. |

I heard that this song was written about Kate's grandparents, and how her Grandad had emphasema (sp?) and her Grandma had to care for him. I means a lot to me because my Grandad died of emphasema too, and I remember how weak he was at the end and my Grandma wasn't well enough to care for him. It makes me cry everytime I hear it. I just imagine what it must be like to see this person that you love so much and have spent you life with in this position. I listened to it a lot last year when my aunty was dying of cancer too. It's not relevant in any way really except that it just made me sad that she was weak in the same way and wasn't even old. I love the last part "If someone's watching up above you'll see how much my dear I love, so leave him here I need him now and always will. Oh if someone's watching up above you'll see how much my dear I love and if he must go let your best angels keep him well." It's beautiful. And the brass band is awesome. I think it's a miners band which just makes it even more emotional. I just love it. |
