Its about equality and balance. Think of a Zebra. The black and the white appears to be balanced, yep folks just like Yin and Yang. The good and the bad. You can tell that he's highlighting the positive and negative sides of it all. I don't think i need to use an example, it's pretty obvious. TA DAH! Its about balance. It's pretty clear, it even says "and share it with the world if i got some balance ". Some people just try to be too god damn analytical for their own good. |

I read that daniels work with paul was wriiten just to be pure. The songs apparently have no specific meanings, he wrote them so anybody could listen and interpret them however they wished. In a way its frustrating, but in another its very noble and wise. Daniel Johns is God. |

You are all so very right. It's not one of those songs that is terribly hard to analyse. It really is one of the best on the album. Its so powerful when she performs it live. Nightminds is fucking brilliant, but i'm inclined to say that The Sound Of White is the best on the album for me, but hey everyone to their own. |

At a concert the other night Missy explained what this song meant. Its about music being to her, what god is to other people. Despite many peoples opinions it is not about her "finding god". The Cactus in the title refers to nothing and was entirely random, as she needed to name the song quickley or it could not be judged at the school talent show that she was performing in that night. |
