the metaphores in this song are brilliant but i think there are 2 sides to each one, a burger needs charcoal to be cooked and the bufallo needs the cliff to free himself from the tyranny of man, but in the end our heart destroys our brian and vice versa because we have to tear down everything we believe in to reinvent ourselfs,"match of the century, absence vs. thin air" "push each other inward and outward" we are constantly in turmoil trying to find a middle ground with ourselfs, some place to exist with emotion and reationality. i cant believe that no one has commented on the last line to me its one of the best issac has, i mean the idea that our days can drag on in monotany but ultimatly life passes in a flash, its tragically poetic. |

this is one of my favorite songs off of "This is a Long Drive for Someone With Nothing to Think About", Issac is definately not stable during any of the albums, to me this song sounds like issac is chastizing himself as well as someone who broke his heart, beacause he let it happen. |
