This song is attached to the trailer of "Trade" a film about international human trafficking and although I have not seen the movie, after watching the trailer with this version of Agnus Dei, I had tears in my eyes. I was crying from a trailer-if for nothing else than bringing light to human trafficking this song will alway be simply stunning and Rufus does an incredible job. |

I must agree with Majikthize on their recommendation and also recommend that anyone who lives this song go out and rent "Iron Jawed Angels" which uses this song in one of the most beautiful and sad scenes in the film that matches so well with the meaning of the song. Like others before me I'm gonna have to go with the idea that this song deals with that fear we all have of opening oursleves up to others and letting them love us...of being willing to be vulnerable enough to allow someone to get close to you and then allowing yourself to get close to them...absolutely beautiful lyrics and message and used in a beautiful scene. |
