There're really many ways to interpret this song. I'm just gonna tell the one I like most: It's about somebody who gets to know a girl from friends, but can't go to meet her. for example: sombody lives in a country but go to live somewhere else, in an other country. he can't go back even if he wishes it so hard. through his friends in his homenation he meets a girl (a friend of somebody he don't knew that mutch). they understand each other very good emideatly, even if ther just comunnicating through chatrooms or something like that. they understand eachother that well that they are intrested in de other one, wanting to meet eachoter personaly. the time goes by, and some day she isn't intrested anymore in him, becaus she meets somebody else or something similar. but he is already so mutch into that interest thing that he can't give her up. not until he really met her. for her he isn't real, but he doesn't think about anything else. here is where te song begins. in te first to verses he sings about what are that things he like so mutsch about her. "she seems dressed in all of me" could mean that she dresses her self like he like to dress himsel. its like an eaqual to his personality that way to dress (so they seem to be of a really wired kind, but they two are one of the same kind. it's probably this what created that intreressment) "all the tourment and the pain leaved through and couvered me" it's painfull having found such a perfect person to him, but really not having the possibility to proof if its really true. "I'll do anything to have her to my self, just to have her for my self" ok... thats obvously. "now I dont know what to do, dont know what to do when she makes me sad" everytime he thinks about her, he comes to the point where he just desperate so mutch. thats just painfull. he dont know what to do. the second verse is just about nice things to say about her. "She is everything to me The unrequited dream A song that no one sings The unattainable ". it shows how crazy he feels for her, how adicted he got. she's a mith that I have to belive in". his friends from his homenation allways tell him what they did with her in last time, these are myths to him. stories about somebode unreal to him. but in his obsession he has to bellive all the things they say (they are his friends so he can trust them). "all I need to make her real is one more reason" sorry I have nothing for that part. "I don't know what to do ... " has the same meaning as the first time (thas obvious, how stupid I am, lol). "But I wont let this build up insid of me". This is like the come back to reality part. he sais to himsel: Come on she isn't real, she doesnt exsist, you cant be that insane and obsessed with someone you dont even KNOW!. "I catch in my throat Choke Torn into pieces I wont - no ". here is where he get to know that for her, he is a nobody she was just curious about. probably a friend told him that reaction of her. "I don't wanna be this" he dont want to be the guy she just was corious about. whant to still be the interest guy from the other country. finally (the part I like most) "she isn't real, I can't make her real" it's again that come back to reality thing, just meaning what it sais. she isnt real, I can't make her real. It's obvious that courey didn't mean all that when he wrote the song. but it is the way I interpret it. and I really enjoy reading the way other people understand it. I'm sorry if I made to many mistakes, I'm not from an english speaking country, and just learned it since in school (btw. I'm still learning it, I'm only 15 hears old) |
