i also agree with what people have been saying about the parallels between this song and the chapter "there will come soft rains" from the book "the martian chronicles" by ray bradbury. when i first heard the song, i thought of the silhouettes of the family's bodies on the side of their house after the nuclear explosion. i bet that's where the song came from. |
