such a brilliant song. it feels like its about an adolescent uniqueness being stripped and replaced with the high school cliche "fake". The first person who recognizes the decietful behavior or their friend; instead of reacting angry or upset, follows the mood's upbeat portrayl of dissapointment but acceptanting that things have changed. "can't you come back?" They don't regret, but want their friend to realize that they have hope. |

To me its obvious, this song represents the desparation and the desire to be wanted, without attachments. About not caring for love anymore, and just wanting to have that f- it attitude. But she appears to be divided, and so is trying to convince herself that this is what she really wants. But that underlying expression of doubt still exists. "with naked walls of silk and skin with no conditions" Then she ends up trying so hard that she loses a part of herself in the process, but continues to believe that this is what she really wanted. what she still wants. |
