Disclaimer: Never do drugs, stay in school. Just say "no"..... Listen to this song while on K or DXM, after that it will make more sense. Infact, while most of the album uses drugs metaphoricly, it makes more sense and is more profound while under the influence of various drugs. |

This song was played at a club as was at in Philly when I met my ex girl friend, it will always stick with me...anyway. Seems to be about fame and such again, as well as alot of "you sold out" type feelings people have towards bands. Alot of the times artists like Manson, Bowe, and even The Beatles seem to me only make music for themselves and no one else. This is what I enjoy about them, but far to often when they say something that a fan might not like they always throw up "you sold out" to justify their opinions. Over all, I think he is saying "I don't give a fuck" about what people think, his music, his life. |

Most of his albums have a very distinct feel or theme tied to them. GAOG is angry and also has alot of political and sexual ovetones. He is also more cocky then before lyric wise. But if you can tell it is highly germen influenced, not only the lyrics an themes but the music itself. Perhaps the reason some people don't dig it is because of the introduction of Tim Skold of KMFDM fame into the band, this has given it a whole new feel. Oh, and a Doppleganger is a mythological being that would assume the form of a person and attempt to kill them and take over their life. |

"I'll Show you how to make a muscle: It takes less strength to grin than It does to spit on all you Paparazzinazis" Amazing lyric. The way he plays with common sayings and words is amazing. Song is more a less a big "fuck you" to american media, enough said. |

| Marilyn Manson – Antichrist Superstar Lyrics | 21 years ago |

Much of this song is a mockery of religion. While we could get into the whole story behind the album and this song's placement, I prefer to look at the song as a indivudual. "REPENT, that's what I'm talking about I shed the skin to feed the fake" Here there seems to be a refrence to taking communion in church. The rest of the song seems as though it is being sung sarcasticly from the point of view of a false prophet or, dare I say it, the Antichrist. The song always gives me the idea of a preverted version of a evangilist preacher. Telling a audience to give onto him in the name of God, but his reasons are more sinister. Anyway, most of anything that can be said about this has been. |
