| I think that it is talking about a person in school, who everyone looks down on, who is ostracised, and through this exclusion from society, he (or she) has no friends, and can't turn to anyone. Their problems with drugs is escalating out of control, using drugs more and more to try and numb how left out they feel. It is obvious that they are on a downward spiral, but as they are the school loser, no one will reach out and help them, as they don't want to be associated with the loser. So the people who look down on the loser are pushing him/her closer to breaking point, and there is little hope of being helped escape this problem by anyone. | |

This and Krwlng are, to me, the best songs from Reanimation. The lyrics mean a lot to me, as I frequently feel like the voice behind them. I've tried like you to do everything you wanted to this is the last time I'll take the blame for the sake of being with you The best perfomance of this though, is on the Live In Texas cd when Mike actually sings a bit instead of just rapping which is a lovely change! |
