like someone else said before, to me this song is about nothing else than depression. pretty much all the symptoms are there: all the joys of life are lost, constants become surreal, life becomes blurry, just wanting to sleep, not caring about anything, feeling like no-one understands, those little deaths, well I can't explain it but I feel them during my days and they ain't orgasms for me :) and feeling like the illness puts out the fire inside of you.

Sure, it's a reference to Ophelia in Hamlet but I think this can also be seen as an universal story about a relationship with someone who is mentally ill. |
