I think this song is about a guy who likes a girl, but she doesn't even note him. That's the "I'm in the basement, you're in the sky" part. Every time he try to get closer to her, he "falls apart", and start again and again. The methaphor of the rain is 'cause the rain represents the bad times, and the bad times never ends. |
