| i feel it's pretty obvious. society is making him feel insane, and they are trying to make him be sane in their eyes. kind of like the wall. also, i think thats one of the meanings of the whole cd. when the song said, "i'll see you on the dark side of the moon.", dark side of the moon is a metaphor for being sut out by society as an outkast. in the part in eclipse where the man says "there is no dark side of the moon really, matter of fact it's all dark." means that people who aren't like society are shut out by society, going to "the dark side of the moon." well, the "insane" people think that society is doing the wrong thing, so they say that society is going to "the dark side of the moon". | |

| i think that ziggy (the character) is commiting suicide. at the end, the "youre not alone" and "youre wonderful" parts, i kinda agree w/ the other ppl, saying that u shouldnt commit suicide, but it sounds like ziggys high during the song, and just loses it. plus, it says you dont eat when youve lived too long, that pretty much tells you he thinks hes lived long enough and doesnt want to anymore | |

I keep on walking, ‘till I get to the cliffs, I took a swing, But I got a whiff, that means that he thought about suicide, and that he got a whiff on life. but he realizes hes got hope and decides to live |
