it's about a woman, angelene, who has become so accustomed to what she is, she tells her story like she's accepted her fate without a glimmer of hope for things to get better. the way it's sung sounds like this character is completely numb of feeling with hints of desperation during the chorus which makes the song intensely chilling and heartbreaking. the lyrics has the character objectifying herself with all her dignity and worth lost to her but she gives us her first name to remind us she IS a person and not just this nonentity she makes herself out to be. i love the way peej sings this...beautiful. |

the tribulations a woman goes through to impress a man. it's not easy to look beautiful while wearing a ridiculously difficult outfit and men need to be more considerate and aware of this fact. i think this song is about a man buying his woman this pretty dress, expecting her to wear it, however (men being so utterly clueless and all) she has a hard time walking around in it but she so desperately wants to impress and please her guy. |

she's trying to imitate courtney love (so i've heard). i'm only commenting on here coz i saw the video today and it made me laugh....and sigh :'( i love how she only ever played just one chord throughout the song....classic! it saddens me that my little sister is a fan but i'm hoping when she reaches 8 she'll discover better things. |
