you people are thinking it through all wrong. the meaning of these songs doesnt lie inside just the song you're listening, but also the song before and after the current one.
example:
Lunacy Fringe followed by I'm A Fake.
lunacy fringe is about bert fighting with the idea of opening up to another potention girlfriend, and how the pain and torment is making him a lunatic on the inside.
whereas he follows up this great song with another great song - I'm A Fake.
In this song he is questioning everything he has just thought from the previous song.. He thinks he's a fake, cuz at the same time he's having the thoughts of opening up, he's also having these same thoughts so stay reclusive and detached from emotion..
The reason this album is in constant rotation in my cd player is because of this pure emotion that just strangles you the moment you press the fucking play button.
I dont think anyone can argue with that.
Its pure, its real, its twisted and its The Used.
And I love every fucking minute of it. |
