This song is so personally meaningful for me. It was my theme song for such a long time. It's all about not really having any goal in life, and no real desire to find one. Even when you do have short term goals, you really don't have any insiration to get them done. Thankfully I have passed out of this stage of finding oneself, though I do appreciate what it did for me. It's only when you let go of everything, can you really grasp who you are. |

I think this song is about him chasing after a girl who has been hurt by some asshole. Probably the jerk cheated on her or something. Anyway, the singer has been trying his best to make it obvious to her that he's in love with her, but she's too jaded and upset to realize it. Towards the end, he realizes that she's been so emotionally damaged by this jerk that she's incapable of loving at this point.
