Frankie Valli – Can't Take My Eyes Off You Lyrics 20 years ago
Haha, I agree with everyone. And I sort of relate to NOEL in the sense that, I listen to music that others may categorize as "hard/indie/oldies rock" (The Pixies, Interpol, The Rolling Stones), and things of that nature, yet I just love this song. It makes me happy too! Such a great song!

The Zombies – Care Of Cell 44 Lyrics 20 years ago
Haha, I don't think I could have put the meaning of the song in better words than doubleohspool did.

It's about a guy who is estastic that his love is coming back from a stay in jail.

Anyway, about the band. The Zombies, I feel, are one of the most underrated bands of the '60s.

Colin Blunstone's vocals are stunning. I mean, he could be in a boy's choir. And suprisingly those same vocals fit perfectly in a "rock 'n roll" band. The combination is beautiful.

Queen – Bohemian Rhapsody Lyrics 20 years ago
Wow. This song blows me away. It is one of the most amazing songs. Ever.

I remember when I first heard this song, when I was around 8. My older brother had it blaring in his room, and I was listening intently. The song caught my ear immediately. It evoked so much emotion. At first I'd want to cry and then I'd want to headbang. It's just such a crazy song... but don't get me wrong- crazy in a good way.

Anyway, to all the people who think this song is about AIDS, and the leader singer of Queen, Freddie Mercury's, battle with the immune defiency disease- this is quite frankly- out of the picture. See, Mercury was diagnosed in the late 80's of AIDS (though he kept it as a secret for a while), and this song was written in the mid 70's (I think '76). So clearly, he couldn't have written about his struggle with the disease, if he didn't even know he had it.

Anyways, this is a magnificent song. Period. End. Of. Story.

Pixies – Here Comes Your Man Lyrics 20 years ago
The Pixies were such an influential band.

This song (which undoubtly was one of their most "popular") is great. I guess, (sometimes) there is reason behind popularity.

One of my favorite Pixies' songs. It's BRILLIANT!!!

Interpol – Specialist Lyrics 20 years ago
Well, I don't really know what the song means, but I do know that I love this song.

I've liked Interpol for a long while now (years). I've heard some of their new stuff (Antics), but I don't think it can compare to songs like this and songs on Turn On the Bright Lights, which was a brilliant album (buy it, if you don't have it yet).

Oh yeah... and Paul Banks .:sigh:.
