| Radiohead – Gagging Order Lyrics

A most beautiful song to listen to and play.
This song is, as 'ggaaoo' says, a more straightforward side to Radiohead. The line which makes me feel this song is about addiction is obviously, 'Just to take the edge off'.
'Move along, there's nothing left to see/Just a body, pouring down the street' - I think this is suggesting that this - drug addicts and beggars in the streets - is happening everywhere and all the time, and nobody cares any more.
Or, as the title defines, it is an exclamation of how there is nothing being done about homelessness and drug addiction. |

Futurism - A belief that the meaning of life and one's personal fulfillment lie in the future and not in the present or past.
Maybe this is Matt writing about how he has abandoned the christian faith, and saying about how it is so restraining and worthless, and that he can acheive a final heavenly state without putting himself under this restraint. Maybe I'm thinking too deeply... or not deep enough. |

| Muse – Stockholm Syndrome Lyrics

stockholm syndrome -> metaphor for relationship; the person is treated badly by the friend/lover, but can't stop coming back. could also be a two way thing, both friends/lovers argue with eachother and split up etc. but keep coming back together - something they cannot control. people have said this before but im just backing it up and putting it together :) |
