Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young – Suite: Judy Blue Eyes Lyrics
| 19 years ago
|
The spanish piece means (something like this):
How happy it makes me to think of Cuba,
the smiles of the Caribbean Sea,
Sunny sky has no blood, and how sad that
I'm not able to go
very, very good song. The whole 'So Far' album is very good.
Oh go, oh go go |

Pedro the Lion – June 18, 1976 Lyrics

it's just like hiphop being called R&B, most people don't know the difference between emo and this kind of music. emo doesn't mean just 'emotional', because a lot of music would fit into that description :).

Dire Straits – Once Upon A Time In The West Lyrics
| 19 years ago
|
I think it has something to do with the sergio leone movie (C'era una volta il West (1968)), because it they both deal with the ideas people have of the west. They both show us where complete freedom brings us, it's going to be a mess, not a paradise. |

Pedro the Lion – Winners Never Quit Lyrics
| 19 years ago
|
To me it is about someone who has been trying too long and got tired of that.
"count it a blessing that your're such a failure
your second chance might
never have come"
I like this part, because it tells to him it's a good thing, that failing helps you to see life is too hard to live. He doesn't know if everything will get better, so he can quit living since there's no hope. |

Pedro the Lion – Nothing Lyrics

It might also be a conversation with a christian trying to tell him what he must do. Or with his parents maybe, since he was raised in a christian family. It might also be a person trying to free himself from the ideas he's learned in his youth, because he seems frustrated. |

Pedro the Lion – Rapture Lyrics

I didn't get his point either. "The bitter pill yet undiscovered", i see that as the bad feeling afterwards. I don't think pedro is trying to tell us not to take the birth control pill :D |

Pedro the Lion – Foregone Conclusions Lyrics

"you were too busy steering the conversation toward the Lord." To me this song is just about those irritating trying-to-convert-you type of christians |

Pedro the Lion – Penetration Lyrics

I'm not sure he's referring to market-penetration, since the penetration is about having sex. But it could be that he means both. No kissing without sex, no little deals, etc.. |

Pedro the Lion – Rejoice Lyrics
|
To me the rejoice part is very sarcastic, and i love it, i really love it. I don't see a connection with Ecclesiastes at all. Why are christians always trying to interpret pedro's song like they are parables of jesus or something? |

Pedro the Lion – Priests and Paramedics Lyrics

Rejoice sooo well fits after this song on the album :) I love seeing life like the priest says. It's like being finally honest to yourself: what the fuck are you still doing here. |

Pedro the Lion – Invention Lyrics
|
It's about any kind of drugs, it's not about alcohol or religion in particular (which i both consider being drugs). Of course he refers to alcohol, but it's about people's need of forgetting the problems of their life, sometimes taking any way to get that. |

Pedro the Lion – The Poison Lyrics

This is quite a strange pedro song, since you get the meaning the first time you listen it. He didn't make much songs like this one. It's just very clear what he's trying to say in this song. |
