Dear Portilloizay, life never fails to amaze me. I thought I had seen the dumbest comment of all times long ago. But you proved that I was wrong. Right know ypur comment is the dumbest ever. Thanx. Powerage, to me, is the best AC/DC Album ever, not despite but rather because it´s a bit different from all the others. I like the way they play with their scottish roots like in "Cold hearted man". |

As an afterthought: I heard the song sort of accidently while I was browsing youtube. After I had heard it I watched a lot of dio videos, espacially the ancient ones. And although I knew all the stuff, I just happend to realise why it´s him on that throne. |

I ain´t no redneck but I still love this song. It rocks! But: I actually can`t believe, that I do like the song despite the lyrics. I mean what the .... does this message lead us to? Round em up, hang em high in the street, leave the bodies to be seen so that all the othe evildoers will see whats gonna happen if they don´t abide by the rules? And whose rules? It sounds so goddamned simple and that is what makes this message so fucking dangerous. You know, if I stop thinking and just listen to my stomach I can go with what is said. Yeah, sure, put them down, he stole a car so hang him and so on and so on. What century are we living in? This is not the west in mid 18th century. I actually apreciate a LOT, that I´m given the chance to explain my case to a court of law, in case that I´d be accused of whatever, never happend to me though. I really wonder what kind of justice that would be if whisky drinking men on beer drinking horses had the chance to "Send ’em all to their maker and he’ll settle ’em down "! And thik about this: Who is THEM? I suppose it might be a very thin line thats drawn between US and THEM! And one last thing: A country that nearly crimilizes any1 who dares smoking a cigarette while at the same time allowing so called free citizens to carry handguns should not be ruled by the disciples of Mr. Lynch! I still like the song though... |
