| Bright Eyes – Cleanse Song Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| i'm not at all a fan of cassadaga but this song is pure genious. the imagery is incredibly strong and touching. i love the way he displays LA as being a city of imagery and false dreams but that it's perfect to scare someone that's been through a tough time back to what's important in life. amazingly written, i'm a very jealous man. | |

sorry souljuice, it's not about a hooker i personally think it's about a gay man's fight against the visible sursexuality visible in the "milieu gai" (i don't know how to say that in english... the gay scene? hehe |

| Emily Haines & the Soft Skeleton – Reading in Bed Lyrics | 19 years ago |

haunting... i can't grapse the entire meaning of the lyrics, i guess only emily knows what they truely mean "With all the luck you've had, why are your songs so sad?" best part... beautiful |

| Bright Eyes – A Song to Pass the Time Lyrics | 19 years ago |

i used to skip this song once i got to the end of the album, i didn't know what i was missing out on for me this song is a reminder of what life is supposed to be... life is not about material gain and is not meant to be spent in the suburbs, working a 9 to 5 job... there are much more important things to uncover... family, friends, love, freedom, different cultures and the arts not at all sour, just eye-opening... |

| Metric – Poster of a Girl Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| no ones seems to have mentionned that emily is also expressing the fact that fans tend to fall in love with a poster of herself (aka emily on stage) and not emily, the person behind the music. "On ne peut pas fabriquer la vérité" for those who don't speak french means "we can not construct reality." i think emily is trying to say that guys that "fall in love" with her tend are truely falling in love with something abstract, constructing a false reality. | |
| Zero 7 – Home Lyrics | 20 years ago |

| Metric – Patriarch on a Vespa Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| yup that's pretty much it. encouraging women to avoid the organized "desperate wousewives" lifestyle and to live life to the fullest. now the image of a patriarch on a small bike, that i'm not too sure of! | |
| Bloc Party – Helicopter Lyrics | 20 years ago |

good job boss_2k! i would also like to add "Three out of five, three out of five (it's not enough) Six out of ten Better luck next time" -proportion of voters that got Bush in? "They're getting so much younger" -talking about american voters "Why can't you be more European Bastard child of guilt and shame" -'war on terror' is a bastard child of america and the UK |

| Death Cab for Cutie – Passenger Seat Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| magnificent song... really gets me thinking... i imagine myself back in grade 12 when i used to spend my whole nights driving myself around town... listening to music and imagining how great it would be to share those moments with someone i cared about... those were rough times... hehe... excellent song... | |
