when i first heard this song it actually made me cry cause its just to minimalistic in backgound noise and her voice is just so powerful and meaningful! i get the impression with this that its some1 dying. Shes trying to make it better by pretending she doesnt love him and hes tryint to push her away but still admitting he loves her (dont really understand those lyrics but oh well). when its saying the nothing has changed shes refering to his condition and theyre both sad and depressed about it, like you would be, and last lines represent his death. and i also think when it refers to the flight i get this visual imagine of him going to heaven. maybe it just me but thats what i feel it represents! |

Fantastic song, one of his best even though it has no rock edge to it! Its rather self-explainatory howevere i also think he loves the woman more than she loves him cause of the lines - 'Don't tell me it's not worth fightin' for' - she has some sorta doubt but hes telling her that this is the best love ever and he'd do anything for her, even die! Me and my exs song and when i hear it i think of him and all our great memories even tho now he hates me for no reason! |

i cant believe barely anyone hasnt comment on this song! its great its about someone who has split up with some1 else after a huge fight and at the time couldnt admit that they were wrong cause they were too stubborn. But now they realised theyve been an idiot and wnat the person back by tryint to turn the time back and not saying those things they said and wanting everything back to normal! |

I only just recently realised how great this song is! About a girl messing things up so much that shes pushed the guy away and he now wont allow her to love him but she cant stop and because he doesnt wanna love her she just hides it away from him and pretends shes over him! so relevant for me cause even tho ive been split up from the only guy ive ever loved for over a year now i still have feelings for him, unkonown to him, and any other guys that come in and out arent even close to being that great. - love sucks sometimes and this song just hepls me feel that it happens to others not just me! |

i think this is a real powerful song, i must say im not the biggest of pink songs but the video of this just got me how the little girl sings it, VERY powerful! I like the way the kid is saying how she will try to be better thinking that its her fault and pleeding for her parents to not split and how much she needs them both, its a rough time to go through a parents split and this song just shows how it isnt a nice time and you shouldnt blame urself and sadly shit happens basically! |

i think this is the best version of it she jsut sings it so well! Its such an amazing song and the lyrics are so meaningful even from the begining i think its so sweet how you would no exactly how long some1 you really love has left you down to the hour! I can see how it would be relevant for her mum and i heard in an interview those tears in the video are real because of the lyrics -

they really meant something to Sinead that it made her cry in the video and whenever i see that video i cry so much its such a lovely song! My fave bit is where she calls the doc a fool cause people acn tell you to get over things but u never see it and u just find it irritating and it totally makes sense! |

i think this song is one of the most powerful songs ive ever heard! After seeing the film 'Closer' they couldnt have chosen a better song and to play it alongside jude laws character is so perfect. I agree with cturn795 in that its a woman he is totally in love with and she doesnt quite return it as much as he loves her and he takes in everything she ever says 'and so it is/just like u said it would be'. Although the bit where the woman comes in i get a feeling that he thinks she feels that she hates him when in fact she doesnt but hes just not het perfect guy and isnt infactuated with him as he is with her, hes not her hero 'no hero in her skies'. But its like first love because you thin the love is going to last forever and when it ends u still wanna hold onto that emotion then all of a sudden some1 new comes and then you get attached to them but from my personal experiences so far in my life the love still isnt great as that first one which is also shown in 'closer'. howevere, that may just be me!?! |

This is my fave song of all time! "something i can't touch i always want way too much" - i live by those lyrics, life is never simple and i think this song captures that. It's obviously about John not being able to have some1 he really wants due to them moving away and the love is still there but theres just nothing he can do about it and basically saying life isnt plain and simple it has many complications, thats why i love this song, its true to life! |
