Dave Matthews – Oh Lyrics 20 years ago
This song fits in perfectly with the rest of the album. I didn't know that about his sister, but it really confirms what I thought the album was about. If you listen to the entire thing, beginning to end, it sounds like the story of someone very close to him who he loved very much dying and how he went through the different stages of dealing with it.

Patty Griffin – Rain Lyrics 20 years ago
I love this song. It's one I can listen to on loop for hours and hours and I have no idea why. Her voice is perfect for it, and the lyrics are great; they pain such an image in your head, and it puts you in a... mood. Can't describe.

Matchbox Twenty – You're So Real Lyrics 20 years ago
I actually read the lyrics to this song before I heard it, and I have to admit I don't feel the two match up. When I read the lyrics, I got the impression of a slower, almost sadder song, and the actual music is upbeat. I like the song, but I love the lyrics.

Aimee Mann – Save Me Lyrics 20 years ago
I don't think that the "tourniqutte" has anything to do with drugs. When I think of the word I think of something tightening that cuts off all circulation, which is what I think the actual thing is. When she says she's in need of one, I think what she means is she needs someone to cut her off from the world and all of her problems; she needs to be saved.

Metallica – Nothing Else Matters Lyrics 20 years ago
I find this song to be entirely addicting and haunting at the same time. What strikes me as odd is that I can think of this song as haunting when it's actually a love song, but I think this is because the love he sings about sounds so intense, so real, and so coveted that it's hard not to feel scared by it, yet comforted at the same time... amazing song
