I well love this song. To me the meaning is pretty simple...everyone has felt something for one of their friends at one point right? I just think its like your best friend isn't your girlfriend but you really wish ahe was? And then he repeats it to himself to make him feel better.....hmmm. And...it hurts. Ha. This song is good. You can tell he's singing it with such emotion....and i don't give a fuck what anyone else thinks because shouldn't all songs have some sort of emotion?
And also, just because this song is slow doesnt make it bad, after all a band needs to do different things. I know this may be irrelevant but when Green Day did time of your life they were hated by the punk scene, but it was probably the most punk thing to do.

there was no stage and everyone knew all the words to all their songs. you couldn't really hear them singing because everyone had taken their microphones. twas pretty amazing. |
