Chris : CC: You know why there is so much confusion about this song? I used to drive around this van for a living. I would see these middle class women walking around the shopping center with their kid, and they looked so miserable. Literally, they looked like they felt like, “What the hell am I doing walking around the shopping center at 11:30 a.m. with two screaming kids? Why aren’t I at work? What’s happening?” I would just invent stuff whilst I was driving around, so I invented this whole scenario about this angry group of women that were going to destroy all these peoples’ lives. It actually doesn’t make any sense at all. When I told our guitarist Cam the idea, he was like, “Yeah, but we don’t have to be so down in the dumps about these bad women. Let’s make the song about sex.” So we kept the name, but the original idea disappeared |
