This song, like the title says, is about being a rock'n'roll star. Its kinda saying that once you get there, there are people trying to get you to "sell out". I think its saying that people become stars for the wrong reasons sometimes, when it should be all about the music.

I think its kind of obvious that this song is about the JFK assassanation. I'm pretty sure Dylan had a song titled the same, but I think it had different lyrics. Either way, this is a great song, and even though its about a very sad thing, it still sounds happy. |
