Awesome song, one of my favorite German songs. It's just a song about northern Germany. The coolest is that parts are sung in Platt, a dialect of North Germany (lived there a while in Neumuenster, still can't understand much of it). |

this song is about all the crap that is happening in society nowadays with wars, crime, and other atrocities. The part that toches me the most is the line where he talks about how he is afraid for his daughter after watching the news. |

This is an awesome song from the point of view of one of Christ's apostles (probably Peter). It is of how he never could believe that He would really be crucified or that someone could really kill the Son of God. He talks about how he is angry/wants to fight those who prophesied of Christ's death because he feels he doomed Him to this path.
In the first verse he talks about how the time has come, the chains are welded and prepared, the sentance is pronounced, and no one stands up for Him.
The last verse talks about the time He spends alone on the cross with no support, and how the people fear what they have done.
Possibly (in my eyes) one of the best songs on the "Alles Fuer Den Herrn" album, and possibly of all Xavier Naidoo songs. It's a great album, I reccomend iteven if you don't speak German, but if you do, it's a great album of religious nature with very up-beat songs. |

I just had a really interresting thought come to me as I ws listening to the song. The part where he talks about the mouse named Gerald made me think of "The Wall" movie, where Pink gets the pet rat, but his mother won't let him keep it, so he takes it out to the Schraeber Garden house. And then the mouse dies, though not from old age, we are led to believe it's some sort of disease that Pink later contracts. I know Bike was written before the Wall, but maybe some correlation? |
