I totally relate. I am a white male heterosexual and I can't stand it. Being as white as a I am I can't even pass for a hispanic or an Indian or something. Green Day taught me how to gay out without actually being a gay. And I thank them for that. I dressed like the guys from Green Day and I went to school and I saw this guy dressed exactly the same. I turned 18 just in time for the election and was seriously planning on voting Kerry, but god damn, his supporters really turned me off. "Americans are stupid", "Bush = Hitler!", "**** Amerikkka!". With so many anti-Americans being pro-Kerry, I really thought that if he won he would **** things up even worse than Bush did. |

"Abortion is murder". The way I think about it is this. A fetus is a human being at very early stage in it's development. When a baby is born is it as intelligent as a fully grown dog? Is it totally dependant on others for care? A fetus is going to grow into a baby,a baby is going to a child. A child is going to grow into an adult. I think that abortion is a modern form of infanticide. Which was often ended by the imposing of Christian moralities onto a society. Killing an unwanted baby was an accepted practice in many societys. A Roman citizen in Egypt wrote to his wife,"Know that I am still in Alexandria.... I ask and beg you to take good care of our baby son, and as soon as I received payment I shall send it up to you. If you are delivered (before I come home), if it is a boy keep it, if a girl, discard it." Like it or not, your living in a world shaped by the moralities of "fascist Christians". The same people who oppose abortion, opposed infanticide. I see public acceptance of abortion as a step towards a devalueing of human life. Whats next? Eugenics through means of abortion? After all, the fetus isn't human yet, it isn't a crime to destroy it. Forced abortions like those seen in China? "Your too poor to have another child"? Socially acceptable eugenics? Black women are already three times more likely to have an abortion. Wouldn't that be a great way to solve the problem of the nation's poor? Smothering it out within a generation. |
