I don't really know what this song is about..I'm almost 20 and I've been listening to hanson since I was 12 but I never discovered the mystery of this song...I think there's something, a message, a secret,hid into this song,but it seems impossible to me to catch it....In my opinion it's about a kid who disappears..or who is carried away by some adults who know his story but are too scared and ashamed to make it public...johnny could be something like a classmate,a neighbour,or just a friend...As you see,it's all a mystery. |

I perfectly agree with Khaos...even though it's about suicide,it doesn't sound so tragic...the lyrics are simple,direct,easy,and only sometimes we can feel the light presence of pain and unhappiness,especially in the refrain...It takes me back to the period in which,as a 16 girl, I was always so sad,depressed and confused about everything in my life,and could related so well to it. Now that I'm 20 I can't find a contact with this song anymore,but I think it remains one of the best punk songs ever. |
