Awesome song. It really speaks to the horrors and the sacrifices of the soldiers in the wars. They are taking bullets for the people who sent them there. It's as if the politicians who send the soldiers to war are using them as a renewable resource, replacing them with new ones as they get killed. As Bruce said it: War is bullshit. |

I have to say that I agree with the alcohol analogy, especailly when you consider that both beer and whiskey are "amber" in color. Wow. That was deep and profound. Surprised myself with that. Unfortunately, I also have to use this avenue to voice my dislike for the entire St. Anger album. This is just not Metallica. What happened to good? Seems like they turned up the "suck" and turned off the "good". And also, did anyone notice that they just killed off Kirk. No more sweet masterful guitar solos that Metallica was known for, as well as the melodies. I can't recall any single melody on the St. Anger CD. Anyway, Metallica, turn off the "suck" and turn "good" back on. |
