Actully, at the start, Ringo was far more famous than The Beatles since he was in a bunch of huge bands in Liverpool. On the Anthology set John says both Paul and Ringo never got enough credit for their ability. He said since Ringo didn't pretend to be very artsy he never got the credit he deserved. The tomatoes thing seems very believerable since in the anthology as well as the book Ticket To Ride they discuss how they once said Ringo stole Johns jelly beans, so they threw jelly beans at them. and lastly, yes, they wrote songs for both George and Ringo, i have a book called All We Are Saying which was Johns last interview and he discusses and George was never greatful for the songs he wrote for him. |
